Strawberry Arrested For Solicitation And Possetion Of Marijuana
On Wednesday night Darryl Strawberry got arrested for drug charges, and solicitating for sex on an undercover police officer. When the cop pulled Strawberry solicitated the police officer, she checked out if he had anything on him, she found cocaine. So much for the Strawman staying clean and maybe it's the end of his career and his marrage.
Wells Returns
David Wells will return to the Stadium today (Friday) for the first time since the trade shipping him off to Toronto. Over the off-season, Wells, Lloyd, and Bush, were traded to the Blue Jays for The Rocket Roger Clemens. Even after Wells pitched a perfect game and won the hearts of all Yankees fans by, pitching tremendously during the World Series he sill was dealt off. Many fans hope, and think he may come back as a free agent after his year in Toronto is up, but how would he feel, knowing no matter what he does he could still be shipped off.
Jeter, Tearing Appart Opponent Pitching
So far this season Jeter has looked like McGwire. He has 5 homeruns so far, 4 doubles, 4 triples, and batting .434 comming into the game Friday the 23rd. So far he looks like he is going to set all kinds of Yankee short stop records, and will set tons of career highs. It looks as if he's on the road to an MVP, but who knows the season is still early.
Irabu May Be Shipped Off, Finally
After Hideki I-rob-you pitched on the 15th I don't think any loyal Yankees fan wants to see his face. The Yanks had a controlling lead in the 7th, 8-2, and Irabu came in, he continued to get one out and let up 5 runs to let them come back, then finally he was yanked. Now there are rumors that he may go for Fassero in a loppsided trade, leaning toward the Yanks' side.
